ORDER PROCESSING

Shipping method selected corresponds to the number of days in transit, it does not include processing time. Processing time may increase the number of days for delivery. The shipping preference you choose does not guarantee the shipment or arrival date of your order, it only guarantees the service level provided by the carrier once the order ships.

Processing Information: Orders placed during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., are typically shipped within 24-48 hours of processing, excluding weekends and holidays. Based on stock allocation, non-warehoused items may take an additional 2-3 days.

You will be emailed your tracking or label number within 24-48 hours of shipment. You will be able to track it from that email or you may click the "Order Status" link at the bottom of our web page to view your order and track the shipment. Please be sure to utilize the tracking information so you know when to expect the package, this will help prevent theft and loss of product.

With multiple strategically located warehouses, we can ship most in-stock items
to nearly anywhere in the continental United States within 2-3 business days.

RECEIVING PARTS

Please inspect the parts immediately after receiving your order. Damages and evidence of tampering on the outer packaging must be noted on the delivery receipt of the driver. DAMAGES MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 48 HOURS of receiving the order. No exceptions. WRONG ITEMS MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS of receiving the order. No exceptions.

If delivery is refused then the buyer is responsible for the return shipping costs as well as the standard fees as shown on our Return Policy

PARTIAL SHIPMENTS

We make every effort to ship all products in a single shipment, but occasionally items are located in separate warehouses so there is a possibility that we may split your order into two shipments to have it delivered to you as quickly as possible. If for any reason we cannot ship one or more items due to a backorder we will notify you via email. 

INCORRECT PARTS

Although we do everything we can to get the right part to you, unusual mistakes can happen. If we ship the wrong part, we will pick it up and replace it. Please let us know immediately if you receive the wrong part by calling our Customer Service Desk at 1-877-595-8545. Replacements will be shipped based on the original shipping method.

LOST PACKAGE POLICY

On the rare occasion that a package is lost in transit, please contact us and we will start an inquiry with the shipping carrier. We ask you to allow a reasonable amount of time for delivery, then if you feel a package has been lost please contact us and we will begin the inquiry and/or claim. We reserve the right to wait up to 30 days from the inquiry date to determine if the package is actually lost. If proof of delivery can be obtained (i.e. the package shows delivery confirmation and/or was signed for) then no refund will be given. 

Tracking information for each package is sent to the email address on your account, we ask that you track your packages so that you know when to expect delivery, this will help prevent theft and loss of product. You may also login to your account to view the shipping information. Once a package is successfully delivered, we are not responsible for theft or damage to the merchandise. When using a forwarding company, we are not responsible for lost or damaged merchandise after the forwarding company has accepted delivery. If your package is missing products that were shipped you must contact RC Hobby Shop (RCHS, LLC) within 24 hours so we can initiate a claim with the shipping carrier. 

Click the "My Account" link near the shopping cart at the top of the screen and go to Order History. Be sure that all of the items in your order were shipped already. If your order displays your Package Tracking Numbers, check with the shipper to confirm that your packages were delivered. If your tracking shows a status of "delivered" but you did not receive the package please contact our customer service for assistance within 24 hours of package delivery. It is very important that we are contacted immediately if your package has been delivered but you did not receive it. We will contact the shipping company on your behalf and begin an investigation into the missing package. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee the outcome of the investigation and claim. The best practice is to track your package so you know when to expect delivery, this will help prevent theft.

SHIPPING TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS

If you are paying with a credit card, we ship to the address where the credit card bill is sent every month (billing address). We may need to verify details and ask for additional information if you are shipping to an address other than your billing address, or if you are a first time customer. We try to avoid any delays but an order could be held 24-48 hours while additional verification is attempted. We reserve the right to ship an order to the credit card billing address that is verified by the credit card processor or the address that is verified on the PayPal transaction.  Please refer to our Payment Info for additional information regarding payment.

If you pay through PayPal, then the shipping address must be confirmed by the PayPal transaction.


Ground Only Shipments

Lithium / Li-Po Batteries

Both rechargeable and non-rechargeable power sources, common in computers, cell phones, cameras, and other small electronic devices. If dropped, crushed, or short-circuited, these batteries can release dangerous amounts of heat and may ignite, and are dangerous in fires. Special regulations, with special labeling or marking requirements, apply to shipping these batteries by Ground and Air both domestically and internationally.

Due to these regulations, certain Lithium batteries may be restricted for sale to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Canada, and other International locations.

Due to the Watt-hour rating of the cell or battery, certain lithium batteries may be considered a hazardous or dangerous good item. Shipments requiring dangerous goods shipping documents are shipped via FedEx. FedEx Ground hazardous materials shipments may not be shipped to, from or within Hawaii or Alaska.

Some of the products that RC Hobby Shop (RCHS, LLC) carries must be transported under ORM-D (Other Regulated Materials for Domestic transport). Shipping under ORM-D will subject the product to ship by UPS Ground, and cannot be shipped outside of the US. Such products include:

  • Oil

  • Non-Water Based Paint and Paint Thinner

  • Aerosol Type Products

  • Traction Compounds

  • Glue / Adhesive / Accelerators / Debonder / Putty

  • Tire and Body Cleaners

Rocket Motors, Rocket Igniters, and Rockets

Rocket Motors, Rocket Igniters, and Rockets are classified as a “Toy Propellant Device” and can only be transported through Surface Mail with the US Postal Service’s Parcel Post. Rocket Motors and Rocket Igniters listed under the registered ID number below are able to be transported from RC Hobby Shop (RCHS, LLC).

Hazardous Materials

Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) are only available via ground shipping.

ORM-D - Other Restricted Material

ORMD items can only be shipped via ground delivery. Products of this nature include quarts of fuel, glues, paints, thinners, and aerosol sprays. We cannot ship ORMD items to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Catalina Island, APO / FPO or international addresses at this time.

Taxes

Items sold by RC Hobby Shop (RCHS, LLC), and shipped to certain destinations in the United States are subject to tax.

Sales tax on items sold by RC Hobby Shop (RCHS, LLC) is assessed in accordance with the respective state tax laws. In Illinois, California, and Colorado, local law requires assessing the tax by applying taxes to both the items sold and the shipping charges.
